In a bizarre crossover event that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Uncovered

According to the official announcement, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of banned rituals and fearsome changes reverberate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden group.

The mission focuses on "peculiar trials and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Features

Players who accomplish the quest will receive an unique katana alongside several objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Titan-inspired attire for Yasuke
• Mikasa attire for Naoe
• Special arms
• Survey Corps vehicle

This patch also introduces the game's latest free story addition, titled "The Enigma."
