Iranian Forces State Attack on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Military Operations.

Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched strikes throughout the Middle East in response for a "massive" and ongoing assault against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone in the area of the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any impact is not yet known and the American officials has not commented.

Airspace Engagements

Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house US military bases - stated they have intercepted missiles in their airspace.

In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the Middle East.

Iran's Declared Retaliation

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard declared it was attacking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the offensive on the Islamic Republic carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.

That US-Israeli operation - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on areas associated with the the regime, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the regime.

Wider Impacts

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military reported it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses dealt with the missiles with great effectiveness and shot down a several projectiles," it added.

It said debris fell on a populated district in Abu Dhabi, causing some structural damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
