Netflix Casts Perfect Actor for Bentham in the Hit Series Season 3
The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the real showdown won’t unfold until season 3, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed recently that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bon Clay. The role can use their power to change into an exact copy of anyone they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The actor, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that character re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action show, as in the original manga and animated series.
The new cast member will work alongside multiple fresh additions who will portray Baroque Works to the screen, including chief Mr. 0, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Although this character is a important part of the organization, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. With the next season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this represents a major departure in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate more adjustments to the story’s structure.
Their mix of excellent comedic sense and emotional depth makes them a standout choice for the character. Along with their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
